Time waits for no-one

It never ceases to amaze just how fast life seems to flash by. It’s already August and we started recording the new album in June and that was after some months of rehearsals. It’s going really well and now that the drums have been completed we’re stepping it up a notch to get the best guitar takes possible. So many sounds and ideas – where does one start? At the end of the day if it sounds great we’ll just use it. You could literally spend weeks/months trying all sorts of guitars and sounds. Interspersed with the recording have been a handful of gigs to mix things up a bit. We’ve especially enjoyed doing the acoustic ones down at the Music Kafe in West End. Sandy the owner enjoys what we do and we appreciate the offers to return. We’ll also launch our Acoustic EP there in the coming weeks so that is something else to look forward to.

On another exciting note for the band, we were very pleased and honoured when Gold Coast rockers Misdirection asked us to open for them at The Globe down in the Valley. A converted theatre it was a venue we have been keen to play for a while and we weren’t disappointed. Great sound and vibe and very inspiring.

Before we know it year’s end will be upon us and I think we’ll look back at the whirlwind of 2010 and smile. With a bit of luck the album will be in the finishing stages and we’ll have a few more gigs under our belt.

As the opening track on our acoustic EP, The End (Father Time) portrays, time waits for no-one, blink and you’ll miss it…

I play this song when I get down. It reminds me that our time on this earth is finite, and I had better get going on my goals.

Agree completely. The guitar solo in this song is a near religious experience. I remember the first time I heard it I had to pull the car off to the side of the road just to listen. I love this beautiful song by my favorite band.
